Ginger is a popular spice with powerful medicinal properties. It can be used fresh, dried, powdered, or as an oil or juice. Here is a wine recipe for all the wine lovers. Very simple, nutritious and a healthy recipe.

Listed below are the ingredients for the recipe.

1. 4 tablespoons dried ginger (do not use powdered ginger)

2. 2 lb / 8 oz raisins

3. 2 oranges

4. 2 lemons

5. 3 1/2 lbs / 1,600 grams sugar

6. Wine yeast

7. 1 teaspoon yeast nutrient/energizer

8. 8 pints / 1 gallon of water

9. 1 Campden tablet

Add ginger to a saucepan of boiling water and allow to simmer. Also add the orange, together with lemon zest and simmer for approximately 15 minutes. Strain ginger wine mixture and transfer to wine making fermentation bucket. Keep the originally strained solids and boil once more in more water to ensure that maximum flavor has been extracted, again simmering for another 15 minutes.

Transfer to fermentation bucket, adding all of the other ingredients, including lemon juice and remaining boiling water, although do not add the wine yeast at this stage. Allow to cool and stand for at least 12 hours. Finally, add the activated wine yeast to the ginger wine mixture and stir each morning and evening, for five days. Strain carefully and transfer ginger wine 'must' into a clear wine making demijohn, with an airlock. Ferment for six weeks, and then rack. This is a recipe that I got online. I prepared the wine according to this. I hope it will taste good.

I have a wall wine rack at home where I keep all the wine. The main advantage of wall wine rack is that it can easily be incorporated into wine cellars. In hanging wine racks you can store wines that require less maturing time. But make sure that the rack is fixed properly on the wall.
