We would like to hear about those special wine batches you made and also about some "not so good batches". Please share your experiences with others. Thanks.
When I was a young boy my grandfather made thebest dandelion wine. I have not had any of that kind afrte he died in 1948. He stored his wine in an unheated back room and served it on the hollidays. All the boys in my family snuck into the wine room and drank a few botles. The best tasting stuff ever. We were all over wined and after he discovered his wine missing we had a hard time sitting. It makes me sad and happy at the same time when I remember this time from my past. Now I want to make dandelion wine, sit in my living room and remember Grand-pa. Larry
Never made except drinking. This time I am gonna try it. I am in a plan to do red wine. And I hope it will be successful experiment for me. Wish this newbie all the best.
oh wow i have gone mad brewed some lager many years ago but decided a couple of months ago to start doing wine i started with a merlot pack which was good then found a recipe for concentrate wine made from the concentrate juices my first was an orange based one then i used pinapple then i got clever and did a batch with ribena which i didn't know i had to boil but it is fermenting out not sure if i wasted 5 gallons on juice and stuff but i took the chance also added a ltr of high juice to another 5 gallon batch without boiling may have to see if they are no good if i can rescue them my last is a pinapple white grape and grapefruit........I love trying different things
